Imagine a world where cars and trucks run on hydrogen extracted from water, then watch TV and see a world that relies on Middle East oil

President Trump bows to the Saudi Prince

who had a Saudi journalist sawed into many pieces

for criticizing the Saudi prince

A regular reader of my drivel replied to yesterday’s Macabre America post, and our ensuing discussion went several directions that do not forebode peace and joy for America, the Middle East and the planet.

However, if auto and truck makers are allowed to shift over to using road-tested hydrogen-extracted-from-water-powered engine patents in the U.S. Patent Office, that will end the world’s reliance on oil and reduce the Middle East’s importance to pretty much zero, and perhaps only people living in the Middle East will care about what goes on there, if you don’t count tens of millions of religious fanatics in America.

My sympathy - more than that word, if there is one - for your son’s death.
But I cannot remember the exact date my son’s life nearly ended, only the days he lay near death. It’s not a mark of being senile, it was a traumatic event and it’s no anniversary I want to remember with that kind of specificity.
Biden is a decent man. You give him more control in your imagination than he has over what’s going on in Israel. Just Imagine this chaos without a decent man in leadership.

Sloan Bashinsky
Biden could have cut Israel off, but he hasn’t taken that step yet, so that’s on him.
If Trump were president now, I think it would be going about the same in Gaza.
Biden does not seem to have awareness of how he comes across.
Trump thinks he’s God’s gift to the world.
I read somewhere recently, the best thing Trump could do would be to die.
Biden is on the verge of starting World War III, and he won’t take any credit for it, if it happens.

Patris
With all due respect Biden seems to be doing everything to prevent the Middle East from blowing up.
Israel, like it or not is the only democracy in the region, literally standing as our ally, prepared to act to end conflict.

Sloan Bashinsky
Looks to me that creating Israel was a colossal mistake, and as long as Israel exists, Palestine will be in turmoil. I don’t think it is America’s job to protect Israel, and America furnishing Israel with money, weapons and munitions causes Islam in that region to hate America all the more.
Hamas is run by monsters, it provoked Israel to go insane trying to defeat Hamas in Gaza, regardless of how many civilians Israel killed, with weapons and munitions and money furnished to Israel by America. Hamas is pleased with the outcome, so far. I do not think Israel’s leader and military are listening to anyone but themselves.
The angel Michael told me after 9/11 that America should get out of the Middle East altogether, and let Israel and Islam work it out or fight it out, and in that way learn which, if either, is God’s chosen people. I took the ending of that transmission as sarcasm.
After three American soldiers were killed in Lebanon, Jordan?, where they should not have been, but that’s where Biden had put them, Biden launched a whole lot of retaliatory strikes in the Middle East.
Islamic groups now have ballistic missiles, which are harder for American warships to defend against than what was being shot at merchant ships and American warships in that area’s waters.
There is nothing good about America being involved militarily in the Middle East. America has a bejillion more important problems within its own borders.
As I read Amendment 25, it will take V.P. Kamala Harris joining in to remove Biden from the presidency, and I don’t see that happening, but I imagine Trump and the Republicans will make plenty more noise about it and it won’t help Biden at the polls. Biden responded poorly on TV today to what’s in the Special Counsel’s report.

Amendment 25, Section 4
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

I am so sorry you think any one should or should not have ‘allowed’ Israel to exist. Given your age it seems you might have gained some insight into the Christian church-imposed hell disrespect and tortuous deaths Jews have endured throughout the centuries. They weren’t looking for anyone’s permission, they didn’t need it to return to what since ancient times has been their homeland.
Netanyahu is corrupt and as intransigent as the leaders of Hamas, the PLO and Hezbollah.
Rational people must take leadership and work out an equitable settlement of the insanity in the region. A 2- state solution I believe makes the most sense.

I think it was a mistake to create Israel in Palestine, and how it has gone there since Israel was created seems to prove it was a mistake. It’s a shame the countries of Western Europe and America after WWII did not offer the European Jews sanctuary within their borders.
Unfortunately, Islam has been at odds with the descendants of Issac for a very long time, and it really is a religious conflict, and much of it is fueled by Christendom in America, which demands its presidents and Congress support Israel, so that Islam will not control where Jesus was born to Jews and later was crucified at the behest of Jews.
America is near coming apart at the seams, and it needs to try to deal with that. But I doubt it will. If I were president, I would cut Israel loose and get my troops out of all countries in the Middle East ASAP, and bring them to America, where they are needed more.

With all due respect, we are past the point of letting things go to hell in the Middle East. Given the global economy that despite electric vehicles will be dependent on oil well into the future, it requires a place at the table with stable Islamic nations.

Sloan Bashinsky
I agree in theory, but I’ve been watching the Middle East a long time and it's not going to change, heck, even Islamic factions don’t get along with each other.
There are road-tested patents in the U.:S. Patent office in D.C. that use electrolysis to separate oxygen from hydrogen and hydrogen is the fuel for cars, trucks, etc. A sedan can go several hundred miles on a quart of water. Imagine the resistance to such engines from the oil and gas industry :-). Imagine the resistance to such engines from countries with lots of oil reserves. Imagine how much the planet would love to see those engines replace fossil fuel engines :-) Imagine driving a Ford or Chevy coast to coast in America for a few dollars. Imagine putting Tesla out of business :-)

If we survive this time it will be a future of technical wonders. No doubt.

Sloan Bashinsky
I don’t see how humanity improves at the rate it’s going among its various segments, and I don’t see how humanity survives at the rate it is killing the planet, on which humanity depends to survive :-)

Patris
We seem headed in that direction. Avarice and stupidity rule.

Sloan Bashinsky
And religious fanaticism :-) in Palestine and the entire Middle East, and in America.
We have Daddy and Baby Bush to thank for Islam’s hostility toward America, which Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Donald Trump aggravated.
Ross Perot did his best trying to talk Daddy Bush out of rescuing Kuwait from Saddam Hussein/Iraq’s army. Daddy Bush didn’t listen. Nor did any subsequent American president.
The Devil is very pleased that America did not turn inward and deal with the many beams in its own eyes. Same applies to Israel, Hamas, Islam, Judaism, Russia and Putin, Ukraine, Red China, the UN, etc.
